Advice on collection

Just looking for some random advice. The recent announcement of the Polaris has me scratching my head a bit. I like the watch, a lot, and would like to slot it into the collection. That said, I have this bizarre pseudo-OCD need to have a bit of balance in the watch box(es). I've been sort of trying to focus my collection using a few criteria (in-house movement, significant or iconic, no overlapping complications, balance of silver/black/strap/bracelet).

Here's the current collection:

JLC reverso tribute to 1931 (black dial)
Vulcain Golden Voice (silver dial)
Zenith El Primero 1969 (38mm)
Omega Speedmaster Professional
Rolex Explorer (39mm)

I have some other watches that I sort of plan to get rid of:

Longines Legend Diver (no date) - Bought because the 15k Polaris re-issue was out of the question at the time.
Spare Speedy Pro - Sort of holding on to it for when my son turns 18 in about 16 years
Zenith Ultra Thin - Made redundant by the Vulcain (don't need a second silver dialled, brown strap watch, plus the Reverso is technically an ultra-thin complication)
Breitling Colt Ocean - First automatic watch, haven't worn it in close to a decade
Tissot Heritage 150 - Redundant
Tudor Pelagos (black dial) - A little too big/chunky for my tastes.

I'm trying to boil the collection down to that I really love, I've kind of gotten past the acquisition bug I think and really want to keep a few watches that are meaningful to me. Part of being meaningful means that they get adequate wrist time. So, as I see it adding the Polaris would require some kind of collection reconfiguration.

Option 1. Because in my twisted mind I don't want to have more than one watch from any single manufacture, the reverso would have to go. So does the Pelagos, which really was a little chunky for my tastes anyways. That creates an opening for a dress watch, maybe some future permutation of the new VC Fifty-six, or something else special. This would leave the keeper collection otherwise in tact, and leaves space for a seventh watch, I always intended to pick up something Genta, like a Royal Oak or Nautilus. I don't want to wind up with any more than seven watches, but I also like the idea of getting the number down from that.

Option 2. Refocus the collection on a single brand, JLC. Keep the reverso, replace the Zenith with one of the Master Chrono sector dials, and get the Polaris. Full stop. Three beautifully executed watches covering all the bases. Reverso for a dress watch, Master Chrono and Polaris as daily wearers. This kind of small collection really appeals to me, but I do have a bit of trouble imagining myself selling the Speedy and the Explorer.

So, just throwing my strange conundrum out to the internet. Any suggestions?
