Greetings,
I found this interesting watch in my Grandmother's estate. She was an antique dealer in Florida in the 60's. The 13mm x 17mm movement (not working) is a 1953 Longines (#8887924), though I'm not sure it is original, as the dial face is square.
The case "by LeCoultre" appears to be solid, marked simply "14K.GOLD" with serial number 497628.
What style is this? I have not seen similar in my searching, though that is likely because I don't know what to call it!
Any opinions on the originality of this combination with the movement?
I suspect the case is more valuable than the mechanism. I was quoted $160 USD to "restore" it. I am trying to decide on restoring or selling the watch as-is.
Many thanks in advance, Mike.
