Reverso TT1931 vs. Burgundy Sub-seconds

Considering one of these two Reversos (see attached pic). I've tried on both, and both fit my wrist well. I already have the daily wear / dress watch categories covered, so this would be a 3rd "special occasion" watch. I would get a dark brown CF strap to replace the strap original to either watch.

I like the idea of adding some color to the mix, but I worry I would get tired of it after a while (I have previously owned and sold two blue dial watches). The 1931 meshes with my historic leanings, and I like the idea of a "no seconds" watch as well. However, I prefer the case dimensions of the small seconds, and I also wonder whether I might tire of the 1931 before long. I guess that's the issue with the Reversos - on the one hand they are timeless, on the other, they are very idiosyncratic.

Thoughts?
