Hi all-
I am a big newbie when it comes to watches so be kind. But this was a family estate piece that was going to be thrown out. I thought it too pretty and picked it up. Now that I am studying the brand I am so happy I did.
I'm mostly wondering what model this is. There are lots of little bits of info avail on it like a case number and a serial number but still a dead end.
The band matches perfectly, I assume it to be original because of that. It says something inside the band but it is not jaeger or LeCoultre. Still working on seeing that...
I believe the timing would be late 1920s because that was the last time anyone in the family had money:) I believe it to be pre-jaeger because 1) it doesn't reference that company anywhere and because 2) when I go to the website and input the serial they don't recognize it. I am open to being completely wrong on all this. I'm even open to it being a Kmart special from 2015 because that would just crack us all up.
Lastly, does anyone think it would be worth my while to fix this? Or should I do like the family keeps insisting and sell it as is? As I mentioned, the family was going to trash it. I kinda don't want them to be right. It might be awesome to flounce on in to the next reunion with my fancy watch. What kind of money generally is it to restore something this far gone (ballpark)?
Thanks for looking and thanks for any help or direction you can give me. I've been all over Google for a few weeks on this one. If there's a source, a website, a whatever...

The watch face on its side...this is a rectangular tank watch, this picture makes the clock face look a bit shorter and squarer than it is.
