JLC Master World Geographic: 24-hours disc out of alignment

Dear All,


I just acquired a full set of JLC Master World Geographic.

When it arrived, I notice the 24-hours disc is NOT aligned with the city below the red triangle (pict 1).


I contacted the seller (from ebay) to inform him that the watch doesn't work as he described & he insisted it damaged during shipping, but I told them there are NO evidence it damaged during shipping because both outer & inner boxes are in perfect shape as well as the watch itselff (pict 2 & 3).



I'd like to know from you who had experience with JLC:

1. Is it possible the 24-hours disc can get misaligned because of mishandling of the package? You can see when I set the time to 12 o'clock, you can see the 24 hours disc shows around 11:15 under the red triangle (pict 4) and when I set ot to 12:45, the 24 hours disc is aligned between the 12 o'clock & the red triangle (pict 5).


2. If not because of mishandling, what would be the possible cause of this alignment? Will it be a very serious & expensive repair OR would it be just a simple adjusment?

3. I love the watch and it's beautiful as well as NOT cheap, but if you were me: will you return back this watch to the seller & ask for a refund (ebay has a money back guaranty) or you just keep it and send it to JLC or watchmaker for a repair?

Please help me and thank you in advance.
