JLC 885 manual wind Favre-Leuba case back oddity

First post, first JLC, first nice mechanical watch. I got this off Chrono24 sort of on a whim, I know very little about it. Good news is I like it for what I paid, but it's likely refreshed/repaired in a way not completely kosher. Trying to find more information about JLC watches under the Favre-Leuba ownership if anyone has anything to share.
