Hi All,
This might be a dumb question but will ask anyway:
I am thinking of selling one of my watches - JLC MC Geographic as a part of exchange to fund my upgrade to another watch.
It has not been serviced since 2014 and has several small but visible nicks on a case, but generally runs quite nice. I am asking the question because service is not cheap (JLC web-site quotes GBP 750) BUT at the same time I am sure a shop I want to exchange it at would say - oh it has not been serviced so we want to buy it a lower price (despite the fact that they would service it anyway as a part of their pre-sale prep ahead for all pre-owned watches.
So the question is do I save more money just going straight to the shop and getting a credit for another watch OR by servicing it first, and then trying to get a better exchange price at the store?
Any thoughts much appreciated
