3k in charges in 2 weeks as warranty repair refused.... help!!

Hi all,

I am posting in the hope someone can help guide me on the best approach and my rights regarding this situation.

I recently took my JLC Master Ultra-Thin Moon in Rose Gold to the JLC store in Zurich for a service in November 2017. The watch was under 2 years old, and I had noticed last time wearing the watch that three of the four screws holding the faceplate to the watch were missing. Having sent the watch for repair, it was refused as watch had apparently incurred a fall.

I take pride in the care and maintenance of my possessions; the watch has been meticulously cared for during its ownership and has never had a fall. Given no other option, I was forced to pay myself for the repair (880 CHF). If this was not bad enough, I noticed on collection of the watch at home, that two of the indicators on the face of the watch had fallen off the face of the dial.

Having returned the watch to the shop to remedy this, I am now being charged 2000 CHF to remedy this with the same excuse that the watch has received a shock and repair is being refused under warranty. This is a downright fabrication and simply un-acceptable. I’ve read on several forums about the appalling service from JLC customer care – having emailed a complaint several times, I simply received no response back.

Is there anything those with experience suggest I can do here? If I have to pay yet again such a sum for a unfair repair I am simply going to just sell the thing as I am so annoyed with how I have been treated.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
