The JLC Ball and chain?

Hello all and Merry Christmas. W/ the holiday season I am getting the green light from my wife to pick up a nice Time piece.
No this topic is not about her... Also this will probably will probably be gifted over to our son but if received well I will need one as well. Haha!

I was thinking of pulling the trigger on a JLC NSA. But I have heard mixed reviews;(

I would like to know if there is any truth in, if you buy a JLC lately it can be nearly impossible to sell it, should one decide it is not a good match?

Rumors of the JLC NSAs ability to stay within COSC?
I would like some real world knowledge on this /first hand experience; what's more, fit and finish. How do they wear, how are they perceived, and are they worthy of the JLC name, Or just a gimmick to pull in "Tacticool Geeks,'' and want to be's? Chances are it will get used often as a real deal tool watch if purchased.
