Finally received my first Reverso, the tribute to 1931. A Reverso has always been on my wish-list, but I could never figure out which was the right one for me. On of my ADs had this sitting in the pre-owned section of his store, and I knew it was perfect for me once I tried it on. Luckily the watch was just serviced by JLC, so I did not have to worry about any issues with a 6 year old watch - it was basically as new.
My favorite aspects of the watch are how thin it is and how understated, yet bold, the design is with only "Reverso" and "Swiss" written on the dial. I am also a sucker for the sword hands (more so than the needle hands on the US edition, personally), the markers with a slight hint of cream "faux" patina (I normally hate this, but it absolutely works with this watch). Finally, this is hands down my favorite hand-wind watch with it's smooth action and crisp clicking.
I have two Casa Fagliano staps being made for me along with a pair of their ankle boots, so that should really set the watch off. I definitely want to have the case-back engraved at some point, but I want to really think about what I want. Anyways, here is a picture:
