I'm looking at what is claimed to be a 1950s Memovox that's in very good shape. The dial, crowns, and movement all fit this claim. However, I'm seeing some numbers that don't match, and I'm not sure if they should. My main question is, should this piece have a serial number, what is the format, and where should it be?
From what I can see in the pictures, there's a 7 digit number on the inside of the case back. There is also a 7 digit number at the edge of the movement at approximately the 8 o'clock position. My concern is that these numbers don't match, and with my limited knowledge I think they should.
Also, is there a good resource for information on vintage Memovoxes? Ideally I'm looking for something that includes dimensions, and pictures.
