Hi all, I'd like to introduce myself to the JLC forum and show my first JLC, an older model Reverso Duo.
I had been circling this Reverso for a while, but wanted to be sure that this was the watch and model for me. I tried on a few different Reversos (although not this model) to check for fit, and looked at Reverso pictures online obsessively. I decided on a Duo-type Reverso over one with a steel or sapphire back because I like dials the best and this would give me two in one watch. I like arabic numerals and watches that are on smaller side so the Duo seemed perfect, and I decided on this older Duo model because I like the square subdial on the white face and the more intricate engraving on the black side. I also worried that the more prominent hour pusher on the new model might get accidental pushed, mis-setting the 2nd face.
In the metal it's amazing! I love the guilloche on both dials, the amazing contrast in look and feel between the two faces, and the elegant art deco case. It just pops in person. I love it on my wrist (6.75"), it sits perfectly and looks so elegant. I have the bracelet for it but am wearing it on a strap that I really like, a beautiful orange-brown irregularly veined crocodile strap (from Freda Straps, the "Genuine Crocodile" in Cognac). Right now I think it's meant for a strap.
This is a big purchase for me so I had some trepidation, particularly as I hadn't seen this particular model in the metal. When I saw it, I knew it was perfect for me. It brings a smile to my face every time I look at it and watch the light play across the guilloche.
