Hi,
I recently sent an JLC Classique in for servicing. Reports of any experiences would be appreciated!
Does a non-AD have to send the watch to JLC for repairs or can they repair the watch at their facility?
I've been quoted $600 for replacing the crown and complete servicing. In a general sense, that seems about right, but I've read other reports that AD repairs tend to cost a few hundred dollars more than non-AD. Does that seem reasonable or should I seek out an independent watch maker?
For any unfamiliar, it is a time-only, hand wound watch probably from the 1990s? The watch winds without reaching a stop, and does not keeps time. The crown needs to be replaced and possibly the mainspring.
Let me know if you have any insight!
Thanks!
