Hello, first post on this forum, and first reverso. :-)
I took a snapshot of it yesterday out enjoying a cup of coffee in the early spring sun that I feel showcase a bit of the feel of the blue face, how it changes with different angles and light.

I can report that it goes well with worn jeans and a white t-shirt. b-)
This was a fairly spontaneous purchase as it was looking at me with anticipation of a bright future together at the JLC Zurich boutique... The blue face has a sophistication and depth that is fantastic. My big surprise is how much I also like the white face (which looked yellow and not very interesting in the boutique), especially on a cognac alligator which lifts the white face, it looks a little boring on a black strap in my opinion. But with the brown strap it looks quite nice in a very modern way. The blue face has a completely different attraction, being very vintage and sophisticated, since it has little physical depth but varies what it looks like from different lights and angles. They really complement each other, although I think they prefer different straps. I am so far not a big fan of the standard thick alligator that came with it, I prefer thinner straps I think.
My one worry is that this should be fairly rare and it is a much more expensive watch than what I usually wear (a Rolex Datejust 1601 mainly the last few years.) Do JLC:s generally hold their value well? It is also my first new watch, and I guess the feeling of seeing the value plummet as when driving out a new car from the lot is a bit scary. I haven't even tried the Fagliano strap on it yet, in the interest of keeping it in as new condition as possible. :-d
