Where can I learn about the actual differences between watches of very similar reference numbers?

Hello - I am new to the world of JLC, but I have been doing a ton of reading. I have a pretty good grasp on the models, but I'm having trouble finding out more about the specific differences between Reference numbers in the same model. For instance, I'm interested in a pink gold reverso duo ref.2712410, but I seen on the JLC website the current version of this watch is rev.2712510. Is there a resource somewhere than I can use to figure out what the differences are, if any, between references numbers? Is it possible to decode all of this?
