Need insights from passionate JLS owners towards my future Reverso :-)

Hi!

After years of flipping I feel I come closer to know which brands and watches have a real chance of staying and so I am getting more and more into the idea of purchasing a reverso (have been thinking of one for years now, but something always kept me from it)

So I would greatly appreciate any advice and or insights on my following thoughts if I am right, if I am wrong or if I am simply not seeing something.

So the plan is to wear it as an everyday watch, I read the other threads about robusteness of the reverso and well, it was created for playing polo, eh?!

So for day to day use I would of course like

a brand I feel comfortable with (double check, triple check with that 8 year warranty)

a bracelet option (check)

good water resistance (not check, but 3bar should be enough I guess for normal use without swimming/ showering of course)

some kind of antimagnetic property (this is quite important for me because I think it is something to have in a watch for the next decades to come)

and here is my dilemma (but is it? ) that would rule out anything but quartz, and I do not have anything against quartz but the thought as if there will still be quartz movements around in 20 - 30 years.. this thought sounds even more far fetched when written down as it did in my head, but still, watches are emotional things and I would want it to work as long as my body works.

So what do you think? I would go for a medium version as I have quite small wrists and the large models felt too large when trying them on at an AD.

My search boiled down to the 2518140, marketed towards women but same dimensions as on the men´s medium models.

What do you think, a model to get or to forget?

Any input is greatly appreciated :-)
